Fountain
Straight down I-25 from the shop, usually a fifteen-minute run. Fountain gets a little more summer heat than the Springs and a lot more wind, and its housing mix asks different questions than anywhere else we work.

The swamp-cooler retirement capital
Evaporative coolers made sense here for decades: dry air, cheap to run. But monsoon-season humidity turns them useless for the exact weeks you need cooling most, and every one of them is a roof penetration waiting to leak. A steady share of our Fountain work is retiring a swamp cooler, patching the roof properly, and installing right-sized central AC. It is usually a two-day job including the electrical upgrade.
Furnaces that fight the wind
Fountain's wind exposure is real. On homes east of the interstate we regularly trace intermittent furnace lockouts to wind-affected flue terminations, a problem that presents as a "bad furnace" but costs a fraction of one to fix. If your furnace quits on gusty days and runs fine on calm ones, mention that on the phone. It narrows the diagnosis before we arrive.
Newer builds are not exempt
The newer subdivisions off Mesa Ridge come with builder-grade equipment installed to a schedule, not to the house. We see ten-year-old systems there working like twenty-year-old ones, mostly from ductwork that was never balanced. A duct test and re-balance is cheaper than the "bigger unit" a door-knocker will quote you.
